Radio controller setup
- Remove the black rubber grips from the back of the radio controller.
- Insert the batteries, observing the correct polarity.
- Put the rubber grips back in place.
- Turn on the radio controller by holding the POWER button.
If warning messages appear on the radio controller screen, check the positions of the switches and the throttle stick. They must be in their default positions.

After you return the switches and sticks to their default positions, the main menu will open.

Creating a drone model
- Press the MDL button.
Select an empty slot and press the scroll wheel (encoder), as shown in Figure 5.

Select CREATE MODEL.
- Press PAGE >.
Using the scroll wheel (encoder), select Model name and give your drone a name, as shown in Figure 6.

Return to the menu with the RTN button.
Using the scroll wheel (encoder), move down and enable the internal RF module, as shown in Figure 7.

Open the MIXES page and enable the additional switches on the radio controller, as shown in Figures 8 and 9.

All switches from SA to S1 must be configured. Then press RTN. The basic drone model setup is complete.
Loading the model
- Download the drone model file to your PC:
model05.yml. - Turn on the radio controller, connect a Type-C cable to the upper USB port, and choose USB Storage (SD).
In the file manager window that appears, open the MODELS folder and copy
model05.ymlinto it, as shown in Figure 10.

Binding the radio controller to the receiver
Put the receiver into bind mode by powering the flight controller connected to the ELRS receiver on and off three times.
When the receiver enters bind mode, the LED on the receiver starts blinking twice with a pause.
Press SYS and open the ExpressLRS menu, as shown in Figure 11.

Set TX Power to 100mW, as shown in Figure 12.

Press Bind and wait for binding to complete, as shown in Figure 13.

Then press RTN, and the receiver link indicator will appear in the main menu, as shown in Figure 14.

Binding the radio controller to the receiver via Bind Phrase
Radio controller setup (transmitter)
- Turn on the radio controller by holding the POWER button.
Press SYS and open the ExpressLRS menu, as shown in Figure 15.

Open the WiFi Connectivity tab and enable Enable WiFi, as shown in Figures 16 and 17.

Connect from a PC or smartphone to the ExpressLRS TX network. The default password is expresslrs. An example is shown in Figure 18.

Open a browser and go to
10.0.0.1. The start page is shown in Figure 19.Pay attention to the firmware version. If it is lower than 3.3.1, update it with ExpressLRS Web Flasher.

Enter a unique Binding Phrase and press SAVE, as shown in Figure 20.

In the pop-up window, press REBOOT, as shown in Figure 21.

Receiver setup
Put the receiver into WiFi mode by powering the flight controller connected to the ELRS receiver and waiting 60 seconds. After that, the receiver LED will blink continuously.
Connect from a PC or smartphone to the ExpressLRS RX network. The default password is expresslrs. An example is shown in Figure 22.

Open a browser and go to
10.0.0.1. The start page is shown in Figure 23.Pay attention to the firmware version. If it is lower than 3.0.0, update it with ExpressLRS Web Flasher.

Enter the same unique Binding Phrase that was used on the transmitter, then press SAVE & REBOOT, as shown in Figure 24.

In the pop-up window, press REBOOT, as shown in Figure 25.

Setup is complete. After reboot, the link should appear as shown in Figure 26.
